  1. Msr whisperlite multi fuel is where it’s at. After 20yrs of backpacking, I always go back to it.

  2. The jet boil mighty moe is the absolute best!!! I love it and can’t go anywhere without it!!

  3. What about Big Agnes three-wire hooped bivy as your tent it is very light coming in with a total weight of 22 oz.

  4. This is mostly just a list of plastic gear.. besides that, I always prefer one thing cotton in any temperature outdoors and that is boxers ..

  5. Half this stuff I already own, my wife won’t be happy to hear I have to do a complete gear rehaul.

  6. I actually don’t mind the REI Flexlite Air chair – I used it for years, and don’t think it’s much worse than the Helinox (but I also weigh 130lbs)… But, the new Nemo Moonlite Elite takes the prize! They really nailed it!

  7. Despite the tons of gear available around the world, the best and only thing you truly need to get through outdoor activities is experience.

  8. Could you editing your breathing out between audio takes? I just found your channel and enjoy your content but find it incredibly distracting :/ I counted 85 breaths that broke my attention from what you were saying in this video

  9. "youre not in danger, you just might have to do something extra to be safe"

I feel like, if you have to take an action in order to be safe, that means youre in danger lol

  10. If ultra light isn’t Your thing, the MSR windburner is the best butane stove on the market right now. And yes, I did try them all side by side.

  11. I found from watching this guy he just wants it to go his way. Love my arcteryx jacket dudes hatin cuz he can’t afford the aplha sv

  12. thats a silly reason to not like a tent, i’ve got the freelite 2 and its been great so far. just tap it to make the water run off before you open it

  13. Agreed with your comment on the Klymit insulated. I bought this before the ASTM R standards were introduced and was not surprised when it was revealed to have such a lower rating than I had initially thought. To be fair, I pair it with a -7C quilt, and find I’m ok for most of three season tenting.

  14. Klymit V is what i used a lot and it sucks at keeping me warm so i started using exped instead

  15. Thanks for Great information.
MSR Wind Burner works so well for me, I bought an extra for Car Camping Cooking, Kicks Ass here in Windy AF Colorado (despite the fact there are a LOT of Jet Boil fans commenting below).
Osprey Packs BACK VENTILATION MESH system stays SUPER COOL/DRY, even in China’s crazy hot, humid backcountry, fits like a glove, well thought out design.

  16. I always have a problem with sponsored videos. I just can’t trust what you’re recommending.

  17. my new BA prospector has been sitting in my closet for a few months waiting to get used end of this month… here’s hoping i have a better experience ! cheers

  18. I agree jetboils are overpriced but I’ve had zero issues with mine and know a lot of very happy owners.

  19. brs3000t and a 650ml toaks pot, aluminium foil wind shield, is all you need for cooking. we’re talking around 110g for the lot MSR is too big and heavy

  20. My "problem" is that my gear just keeps working and I just can’t justify replacing it. Take my first gen JetBoil, even the ignitor still works on it, just rock solid stove. I have, again, a first gen Helinox chair that is heavier then the Zero but, again, rock solid. I did get a new hammock, a Hennessy with a tarp. Mostly to have an integrated system that is quicker and easier to setup, my old Eno with bug net and custom tarp still works fine.

  21. years of buying cereal has taught me you almost never go for the brand name on anything there’s nearly guaranteed to be a cheaper higher quality product nearby, even if its the same quality i’m not paying more money simply because it has widely recognizable branding on it, just ridiculous

  22. i once bought a super expensive sleeping bag. to only find out i DIDNT FIT?! the damn thing was NOT build for women with hips. as a newbie it didnt cross my mind to test my gear before heading out. coldest night in my life

  23. Thanks for pointing out the jet boil. I considered one over a video yesterday. Thanks for the heads up

  24. I’ve bpught the MSR Freelite 2P for myself and maybe + a kid. I wanted something super lightweight. I’ve noticed the water falling directly into the tent problem. I’m still happy with this tent and MSR as a company is very nice and gives good customer service. But I was a bit like OH NO MY TENT WHY IS IT BAD xD

  25. Jet boil and all those stoves suck..They astronomically too expensive and all they do is sell fear. Hot Water Burn Baby!!! lol you can’t handle it. You’re gonna burn to death out there unless you have this $200 piece of equipment.. I don’t always agree with this guy, but in this case he’s right on

  26. Someone lent me their Jetboil at a campsite – to use with a regular metal cup.
Big mistake! The plastic connector ring melted in contact with the metal cup.

  28. Unsubscribed due to unreliable reviews. JetBoil as "gear to avoid" is BS (read others’ comments), and other "opinions" that feel capricious to me.
