I wanted to hang one of these cute solar power banks from my purse for fun when taking walks but it seems like it doesn’t make sense. Maybe I can DIY it but still. Not much better I assume.

Is it safe to plug a 40W solar panel into a power bank as demonstrated in this video without the need for a solar meter/controller?
Planing a 2 week canoe camping trip, so I am looking into folding solar panels.
Weight is luckily only a factor for travel from and to the start/endpoint.
I think I will pick either my 20k mah or two 10k mah Anker power Banks, so the power Bank can sit all day, connected to the panel and charge.
For a 1 week trip I would most likely only pick an extra 20 k mah powerbank and not take the solar panel.
Do you have recommendation for a 20k power bank in all black colour no accent colour that also has solar panels? Doesnt have to be many panels as its just for backup without dolar charger.

Thanks for that very thinly disguised power bank commercial. I have a Big Blue and it exceeds my demands power wise. It charges even faster than i thought it would. I use it to charge my INIU 140W Power Bank wich then charges my laptop or iPhone or anything else i need to charge, Its quite easy to see you,ve been paid to make a commercial here.

The all in one solutions are useless. They take so long to charge, that they might as well not even sell that feature. If you’re charging two or three smartphones and maybe adding power to an iPad, you’re going to drain a 25,000mAh power bank in a day. If you can’t recharge that much power in a day, then at that point, you need another solution.

Loved your video, however, there were a lot of reviews on Amazon about Big Blue that were not favorable at all, many said it did not work well or at all even in direct sunlight. This is so confusing now cause your video really had me thinking about Big Blue and a charging bank…not sure now.
what about solar panels heating up. im here in the amazon rainforest. i try to charge my devices in the early morning sun. but at 8 am it already feels like midday sun(almost). so the panel gets pretty hot. ehen i put my hand on it i need to take it off after couple of second because of burning sensation. i also try to not angle it directly at the sun.

Why can’t one put the battery bank inside the Big Blue pouch while charging to keep it out of the sun?

Motorcycle camping and need compact solar charging for laptop 19 Volts. Will I be able to get 19 volts from this to charge my laptop battery? I travel full time so this is a concern. If I’m boondocking I only get 5 hours of editing time then I have to come crawling back to the grid.
Currently charge my phone off motorcycle battery and use a 12v 5w Battery Tender solar charger to keep that charged. It barely fits in my saddlebags.

Most solar battery banks charge at 200 ma @ 5 volts or 1 watt. A 20,000 mah battery would take 100 hours of perfect daylight to charge.

I have been looking into different electricity storage options in case of an emergency and the solar power back you showed in this video seems like a great option. I do already own an external battery for my phone, but I wanted to buy one with a bigger capacity. This seems like the best option out there that is both rechargeable and at a lower price point. Thank you for the video it was really useful!

I’m looking for a solution to charge 1 or 2 phones during an extended power outage 1-4 weeks in a location that is often overcast. Portable solar panels make much more sense for my use case. I have always expected that the solar panel on the solar power banks is just to small to be practical .

What is needed is a really wide brimmed hat w/solar panels and the holes for cord connections could be inside the hat with waterproofing in between — or would that be a fire hazard?
