The Best Axe for Summer Adventures #outdoorgear #bushcraft #campinggear

Surviving in the wild takes no shortage of knowledge, a keen awareness, and tools you can depend on when things go sideways. Gear that multi-tasks is key when every ounce is accounted for. The Bushcraft Axe addresses two primary needs: starting fire and building shelter. The ergonomic design reduces weight and improves grip for long haul use, and the blade features machined relief for deeper cuts. Yet, the genius is in what you can’t see: two gear storage compartments that are water-resistant and can house paracord and a mini size lighter (or fire starting material).

  1. Why are comment sections so extremely cynical these days. Like you guys probably haven’t ever used the axe and just straight up thrash it.

  2. I have used both and sun like does not hurt wood handled axes at all but the new stuff is for people that done want to take the time to look after the tools they.

  3. This is a trash axe just get or make a normal wooden one sand it if you need to and you can forage for items to water proof it

  4. Gerber: the company that allowed a dude who doesn’t go outdoors to design an axe.

A axe isn’t a folding knife , why tf is that handle hollow

  5. If a wood handle breaks you can replace it, Id love to see this re-handled with basic tools

  6. Plastic is terrible for handles. Much more feel through the handle meaning hands hurting after a long splitting session. And a normal handle can be fixed or replaced with basic hand tools good luck replacing yours pal

  7. It’s funny these people saying "wood handle, wood handle" because they don’t like something new, yet i bet they lined up for all the boosters 😂

  8. Wood is far more comfortable to swing than some plastic, at least with a wood handle its not completely useless cause you can still replace it if it breaks, this literally just becomes trash after the handle breaks.

  9. I’ve broken eveet Gerber product I’ve ever tried. My cold steel hawk has a wooden handle I’ve tried to break and can’t.. andnif i do..its easier to replace.. also feels better in the hand..sorry Gerber is kinda poo

  10. Summer means burn bans and gas stoves. I’ll keep my Estwing when I’m chopping wood this fall. I don’t need that plastic toy, I’ll stick with all steel, TVM

  11. What does it mean, "wood axes get gross in the sun"?
Are there companies out there selling dull axes that arent rey to use?

  12. It’s a neat concept. I’ve had several gerber knives and they’ve all been junk, so I’ll be stearing clear of this thing. A good way to rebuild trust is making solid tools instead of gimmicky junk.

  13. Everything you said is the opposite of correctness. Gerber axes in the axe world are the ozark trail knives in the knife world.
