  1. Need: Very little. Night warmth. Container.
    Longer: Food. Clothes.
    Almost need: shelter
May need: water purification (if springs unavailable)
Want: food heating, environmental protection, comfort, entertainment, mobile warmth
    😁 YMMV

  2. By the way, a freeze dried meal that is 500 cal is not feeding three people and they’re like 10 dollars or more

  3. You don’t need a tent. A bevy sack is all you need to shelter you from the rain. In the Army we rarely slept in tents.
You can watch out for people or animals creeping up on you and it’s much easier to break camp without a tent.
Beside’s, nothing beats being able to look up at the stars as you fall asleep.

The only exception is if all you have is a quilt or blanket. A tent will keep critters from crawling into bed with you.

  4. Hello, we are China color-changing aluminum cup, camping products manufacturers, would you like aluminum cup, camping products customized or wholesale?

  5. I already have the bag and need to complete a basic kit but eh I guess its gonna cost me 1000$ abd more if I were to buy everything there ,Some may laugh but Im young and dont know much .

  6. As a geologist and going ultralighter, I’m amazed at how much stuff you take on the trail. I leave most space for stones if out for fieldwork tho which will get as heavy as your backpack in the end haha. Great to see what you hike with.

  7. Bro thx for the information its my first time camping and im gonna camp with my fellow filipino boyscouts next month

  8. Hi so for what temperatures are your clothes suitable? An could you do something like that but updated 😁because most of the stuff isn’t available anymore

  9. Skip the soap. No need. Dont pack bear spray if you are going to the airport. They will confiscate. Rent them.
Gravity water filter sucks. Too complicated… I just use good ol fashioned filter pump attached to hose. No bladders. Just a cheap sturdy water bottle from the liqour store is enough. No way do you need a hydroflask. Skip the solar panel… dont need boots. Just good hiking shoes.

  10. That’s cool you saved your food from the bear but what about saving yourself from the bear ?

  11. Part of it was laying on my shoulder. I Hurd feet running 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️. More then one person. Still warm.

  12. This tutorial is super helpful! The part at [5:38] is so detailed, I’ll try it out right away!

  13. I was hiking the pacific crest trail, I was in organ at the time, in my hammic with the drapes pulled, snoring I guess. I kinda Hurd giggles went back to sleep. Someone shit in a tshirt threw it in at me, at high velocity. It came out of the 👕

  14. Sitting on my shoulder like a bird. Pile of crsp. I don’t run, 45, been thrown into war, in 2 hard core wrecks, got shoot at me get me to run. I ran for that, didn’t get at um.

  15. It’s so fun seeing how others enjoy the outdoors. I pack much much lighter but our goals are all the same and that’s beautiful!

  16. Thanks for this! Just started planning my first camping trip and was feeling overwhelmed with what gear to get. This guide breaks it down so well, making it easy to know what essentials to pack. Can’t wait to hit the trails with confidence now!

  17. the rei quarter dome is also pretty rad, very light, big enough for 2 people, 2 doors, 2 vestibules, only like 2lbs

  18. Holy smokes u must have strong legs to carry all that gear especially on a trip that lasts more than 1 night!

  19. thank you so much for making this video I’m just getting into backpacking and now thanks to you i have a full list and understanding of what to bring and why to bring it thank you so much!

  20. Nice video. Next week I’m going to camp in a volcano in El Salvador 🇸🇻. Thanks your information and tips

  21. Just a tip from a Norwegian: Skip all synthetic fabric and use wool only. It’s better in every way. Just do this blindly and you will realize

  22. Instructions for the jacket folding unclear, now I have a back hole and my computer is currently being sucked into i
