🔥LIGHT MY FIRE SWEDISH FIREKNIFE🔥
The Swedish survival company Light My Fire are world famous within the Military, Survival and Bushcarft world for their awesome Swedish Fire Steels (Swedish Ferro Rods) that have been the mainstay of many military survival and bushcraft kits for the last 2 or 3 decades at least. Now they have decided to combine one essential survival edc (their Ferro Rod) with another essential survival tool (the Bushcraft knife) to create the Light My Fire Swedish FireKnife. The knife is a Mora style Knife with a handle that looks like it heavily borrows from the Mora Companion and in particular the Mora Companion Spark. The latter contains a ferro rod hidden in the handle in the very same way as the Light My Fire Swedish Fire Knife and also unlocks with the same 45deg rotation of the pommel of the knife. It is my understanding that Mora don’t actually make this knife for Light My Fire but it is made in Sweden.
The Ferro Rod is meant to give up to 3000 strikes at a temperature of 3000degC and as you can see from the video it works very well. The knife has a really sharp 90deg spine which helps you produce showers of hot sparks over your chosen tinder easily and consistantly.
