I ordered one and will take off the compass and ferro rod and whistle section before heavy use of the axe, won’t hurt the knife in the handle but seen videos of the axe being used and the compass falling out as well as the ferro rod breaking. Other than that think it is easy to prevent and I like it’s design… just take off two bottom pieces if using the axe and preserve the ferro rod and whistle section and the compass by removing for heavy usage… thin axe but good for camping and such… as it is designed for emergencies… the section with the pointed part is for breaking windows out in vehicles in emergencies like if car goes in water and water pressure to escape vehicle prevents it from being knocked out that piece will break it… any way nice little survival tool if mindful with it.
