  1. Nice mate, in actuality in the market for something. Gonna look around in australia and see if we have anything similar. I do have a similar problem to you, i’m not the smallest person so choosing one might be a little difficult. I do like the size of it though, nicely compact. Cheers for the review mate, awesome to πŸ˜€

  2. There is a winter version of this bag, rated comfort 0Β°c.. It’s 200cm long by 80cm wide. πŸ˜‰

  3. Thanks for the review. Got this as a cheapo topquilt for hammock use. When opened, its wide enough for big guy =).

  4. For what these cost you are better off getting a few down quilts from Costco and binding the corners together.

  5. ideal bag for mobility awesome video! sub from me here in NI. hoping you can check out my fishing channel and return the support? many thanks πŸ™‚

  6. Hey!

I’ve been looking at this in khaki, but I’m skeptical it’s 800 fill. You’ve only got to compare the size of other 800 fill goose down bags to understand why..

Nice short review, thanks for sharing.

  7. I like your down to earth reviews brother. If the zipper ain’t up to snuff, nice of you to say so! Cool that it doesn’t bind your feet:)

  8. Funny how when he first talked about the bag he said was it good for bigger guys because it was a rectangle. Then when he actually got in it, he realized it was a little constricting.
I just bought this bag recently. I haven’t used it, but I have got in it and I experienced that is was a bit small around my shoulders too (I’m 6 foot tall). To me, the low weight trade off is worth it. When I first opened it, I thought it was super thin. I have my doubts about its warmth in cold weather, but it seemed warm when I got inside.

  9. Thanks for the review. I slept in the CWM400 version of this bag at 14 degree celsius with only cotton underwear and socks, but I was cold…
I get that a base layer is important, but since I slept at 14 degrees and wanted to test out the bag stimulating a colder temperature, so I slept without a base layer.
Did I perhaps do something wrong considering how cold I was or does it just mean I’m a very cold sleeper?

  10. Does this have 2 zipper sliders? Can top & bottom both be unzipped with the side still zipped? Sometimes my feet get hot and I like to vent the bottom. Thanks!

  11. Great honest review, can i ask as you skirted it, What is your measurements, so i can compare it to my size. You can DM me if you like.

  12. I have the same issues with narrow bags and sleeping pads. Trying to find a good lightweight summer bag. Thinking of just using a liner for summer

  13. I have s hard time finding a decent sleeping bag! That would be great to pare with an under blanket in a hammock. I may check that bag out.

  14. Doug I’m putting a light kit list together for a very long walk and looked at this bag on Amazon. I wanted to check out a review and guess whose video came up? It was yours. That’s all I needed to hear. I must agree I have wide shoulders being a swimmer but you look bulkier still. It’s sold! Got your comment today. Will reply. Many thanks as always. Mark

  15. Manufacture says you can zip 2 together for a wider bag. Remember, it is made in china, so the sizes are asian, they do run smaller to US and Euro. Most people layer up, but with down, you should wear less, as the down reflect your body heat. If needed, put this bag inside of a fleece liner, not liner inside down. This is my experience. I have used this in 34 degree, 30mph wind and pouring rain in a hammock tent, hammock underquilt, klymit static V sleeping pad, tarp. I was toasty to where I had to strip off some clothing. Just FYI

  16. Great review. I just use quilts nowadays because I hate zippers. But this seems like a great product. πŸ‘

  17. The large AEGISMAX Outdoor UL Goose Down Sleeping Bag Super Light is 34 inches wide. It is also around a pound. You can zip two of them together to make a double. My Beagle loves it.

  18. Thank you Doug. That is a great looking sleeping bag. I am amazed at how small a size that it packs down to and still have that rating.

  19. i love the compactness. im a smaller fella , so im sure it would work great for me. awesome video. new sub here..

  20. Hey man, been trying to find a review of this bag and here I am finding this vid. Can I ask did it take the bag long to puff up once out of the stuff sack? Thanks again for the review.

  21. I’ve washed mine before the first use. Got out about 30% more fluff out of it.
It’s a great sleeping bag for the price.
The only issue: I don’t like the cold, slippery feel of the nylon on my skin.

  22. It’s safe to say I’m a car camper these days, so weight isn’t an issue for me. I do own a couple of light-weight bags, since they don’t take up much space I will toss one or two in the car in the event I break down in the middle of nowhere. I also like these light weight bags for augmenting a mid-range (20 deg F) bag. Excellent review. Take care.

  23. Hi…. Good review. I know it’s a while since you reviewed it but could you tell me do you think it would be warm to sleep in it in just t-shirt and pants? I usually use a silk liner too in my current bag so I suppose that would up the heat a bit. Thanks

  24. I see you posted this about 3 years ago. What’s your long term opinion on this product? Thank you!

  25. Sold! I just packed all my gear, tarp and everything to find my winter bag has to hang off the front so was looking at this one to fit in the bag. I was worried about the temperature but you say it’s good so I’m going to get one.

  26. Im 5" 11′ and 215 pounds, broad across the back and shoulders, for reference what are you, if you dont mind me asking, I was looking at these Amazon?

  27. Excellent review Doug.
    Glad ya give some examples.
Ruggedly handsome individuals, such as ourselves, find it hard to find the right fit.
    πŸ€˜πŸ˜‰

  28. That’s a nice looking sleeping bag. But like you the narrowness of it would be a concern. It sure looks light though. Good review!!!

  29. I bought one of these and every morning when packing up my tent I had to collect up all the down that had escaped from it during the night. A handful of down every morning ☹️

I replaced it with their LW180 sleeping bag which has a non-down filling, it is excellent – no issues very happy with it πŸ‘πŸ»

  30. I’m thinking about getting this bag, did you notice much cold air entering the bag from the foot box end?. I’ve noticed in photos, that there seems to be a sizable gap where you hook the zipper together.

  31. HOW TALL ARE YOU? Im 6.4 and i hope to fit in the regular size 190cm.Obvosly my head will be sticking out a little but it woled save me weight. Do you actually get full 190cm?

  32. Thank you for giving an honest review. It seems like Nature Hike gave up too much size for the sake of it being compact. I think they should make a bigger one because not everyone is the size of a model many companies use for demonstration and advertising. I think their sleeping bag would be a huge hit if only they made them bigger. There are far more campers and outdoorsmen/women today that are much larger than their tiny models that companies realize. Hope you don’t get cold due to lack of sleeping bag size tonight.
